Slings?

The girls pretending to sleep!

I really want to buy a sling for this baby! However, they are a bit of money so I really want to get a good one. I use to have one with a lot of padding and none of my girls liked it at all ( it really hurt my back too). I found a Maya wrap at a used store for only $25.00 but Ryan nor I could get over the red and green stripes!
I really don't want to spend a ton of money because I am not sure if my little guy will even take to it. So, my question for you all is...... what was/is your favorite type of sling and why?

I really like the Maya wrap that I have, and I know someone that sells them... I don't remember it being too expensive either.

Oh, and I keep forgetting to say something, but I'd like to throw a double baby shower for you and Rebekah maybe in August or September? Anyway, once you've done some research you could have that as one of the things you'd like for a shower gift (because I was going to make you two figure out some stuff you need for the fourth kid.) :)

You can always wait till after your baby is born and try my Maya wrap with him if you'd like. It hurts my back sometimes, but usually only from the weight of the baby or if it's not on just right. (Or maybe it's because I'm nursing the baby IN the sling while simultaneously trying to vacuum, pick up toys, and make dinner.) ha, ha.. ;) It IS really helpful though when you have to do all those things and really can't put the baby down to do them.

It's not exactly a sling, but I've been really happy with my Moby Wrap. It's really comfortable. I was never able to get a comfy fit with my ring sling.

Rachel,
Do you think the Moby wrap is much different then a front pack? I am starting to wonder if I would even like a sling. I did like my front pack though.

I'm not sure what a front pack is, but I'm guessing by its name that you can use the Moby in a very similar way. If we come over tomorrow I could bring the Moby and show you how it works to see if you'd be interested.
